Free Palestine

Created as a response to the genocide of Palestinian people by the Israel, this was an experiment in the parcelization of a fabric animation into individual frame artifacts that could be recouped and recontextualized into different utilities. In this case, I silkscreened a series of repeating frames and embroidered the word “Free” on every individual frame. Upon release of the animation online, I offered the individual embroidered frames for sale as patches. As such, I was able to fundraise for causes relating to Palestinian safety and liberation, donating over a hundred dollars to SWANA Rose Cultural Center and the Reed College SJP each.
