Based on Timothy Carey’s gonzo 1962 directorial debut (and finale) The World’s Greatest Sinner, this shirt and poster promoted our screening of the film at The From Below Microcinema in January 2025. Inspired by the style of countercultural, DIY fashion of the 1960s, this shirt is emblazoned with the clarion call of the Eternal Man’s Party from the film, “Let’s Be Different. Let’s Not Hate Anyone,” a statement dripping in poisoned cynicism within the context of Carey’s bizarre portrait of a megalomaniac autocrat.
